My Children (Short Version)

There came a point while writing this album where somehow inspiration was striking for so many songs down the line except the one that I wanted to release next. So I packaged it up as a "short" version of the full song, to be worked on later.

Part of it is that it got totally out of hand, as my songs often do - the full file at the moment is approaching fifteen minutes long and I wanted to have something to show for it! So this is a cut-down "single" version, if you like, that just keeps the verses and choruses without the immense storyline-ish section in the middle. I couldn't believe it when even after the cuts it was over five minutes long - my aim to put at least one short song on this album hasn't been fulfilled yet.

There are a couple of sections where the voice is just meant to sing "Oh"s here, which I wasn't sure how to write down in the lyrics (as they look slightly silly sounded out). Just sing them yourself :)
