The biggest challenge of this song was trying to fit it together, because there were so many ideas for the instrumental section in the file that I really had to work to rearrange them to fit them all together. I think that it has a bit of a jazzier sound than some other things I've released recently. Somehow it also ended up being given a fair number of little 'references', both musical and in the choice of words for the lyrics - perhaps you'll be able to hear some of them if you're very familiar with the genre.

I wanted to keep the meaning ambiguous, as to what "this corruption" really is, whether it's a good or bad thing, and so on, by using words that could be interpreted either way - but I think I gave it away a bit with the first verse (which was written last). Nevertheless, interpret it how you like :)
